CIVENEX 2011 Pt 1 (Schwarze Industries),
Back in May this year I finally attended CIVENEX, which is the Civil Engineering Expo held in Sydney each year. Basically a whole lot of manufacturers and suppliers of equipment related to council works and services come together and exhibit their products. Of course I only really attended to check out the waste equipment and trucks which I knew about or figured were being displayed.
I stopped by during mid afternoon one Thursday which turned out to be too late considering all the videos and pictures I wanted to get, as well as take a good look at specific equipment. I ended up rushing to get some basic footage and pictures, leaving me with what felt like zero time to check out some of the trucks… this sucked really bad and it seems I’ll be waiting until next year’s event until get to. Anyway I’ve uploaded a bunch of videos I got from that afternoon, starting off with this one which gives you a look at two demo Schwarze sweepers. I’ve also never really seen the workings of street sweepers up close and in detail, so this was pretty cool.

@TheBrodra I focus my videos on garbage trucks – I only really took this because they were there and to also satisfy my curiosity.

Wow we think there's a lot of electronic switches and stuff on our trucks, try hopping into the cab of a street sweeper!
@Trashman242 Yeh I reckon, I couldn't believe how many switches were on that console! I expected controls for the vaccum, sweeper brush, beacon, body hoist and tailgate… looks like they also have suction pressure and sweeper RPM settings lol
